We’re shipping to the UK again!

We’re happy to announce that we’re shipping to the United Kingdom again. As of May, the first 30 test shipments have been dispatched and all arrived in good order. Our team is thrilled to welcome back our regulars who have been with us for many years. We also like to invite new British customers to place their first order.

A few things have changed.

Our team will take care of the vast majority of new paperwork. However, there are a few things that you will need to do before you can place an order with us:

  • Obtain an EORI number
  • Obtain a PEACH registration
  • Register your business as a Place of Destination (POD)

The process is relatively easy and should take about 2-4 days to complete. Check out our checklist that we wrote with more detailed instructions and links.

Phytosanitary checks and PEACH

Before plants can enter the UK, they have to be officially inspected for harmful organisms. We’ll arrange this for you. The only thing you have to do prior to receiving your order is to file a PEACH application. This lets the authorities know about your incoming order and allows you to upload proof of phytosanitary checks. We’ll provide all necessary details and files to complete the application and the whole process should take a few minutes to complete. Please check out our PEACH-guide for a complete walkthrough and an overview of frequently asked questions. Our support team is here for you to guide you through each step.

Added VAT, clearance fees and phyto certification.

Due to Brexit, quite a bit of additional paperwork is required. Per shipment, some fees will be included for export declarations, import declarations, and phytosanitary inspection and certification. These fees will typically amount to around 100 GBP per shipment. Furthermore, the HMRC requires us to add 20% tax to all incoming shipments, this amount will be added to your invoice.

Order between Friday 11:00 AM and Monday 11:00 AM

In order to avoid logistical issues, we kindly ask you to place orders for the UK between Fridays 11:00 AM and Monday 11:00 AM. They’ll be dispatched on the Friday after.

This is a bit longer than you are used to with us. It does give us time to plan ahead and make sure everything is departing on time. It has no impact on the quality of the plants, as they’ll be ordered last minute. This is solely to help smooth internal planning.

We’re expecting to have multiple shipping dates in the weeks and months ahead.
